No problem at all. Everyone has different tastes.
Certain items are worth investing in, while others aren't.
A monitor is something you're likely to need for years—spend the money on it.
RGB lighting fans are less worthwhile.
When it comes to purchasing and shipping, try to buy everything together.
In the US, from places like Amazon or Newegg, returns are usually easy with a 30-day window.
We've noticed many users here extending their buying periods over a year or more, only to return items when something newer appears. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Create it yourself, buy it, assemble it all at once.

Yes, this is a cash out purchase. I have mixed Amazon and Newegg only because on the case, Amazon just has better delivery dates. That's a good point though! I'm not trying to drag this out. This is in SoCal in the US, yes, so I have plenty of access to delivery and returns for both Amazon and Newegg.
Ok, maybe I'll take a closer look at cases and fans. I guess you are right, I am kind of looking at the RGB fans and stuff as racing stripes on the car. Maybe it's excessive.
A monitor is more important for sure. I'm sitting here right now trying to understand the differences and what I should be looking for.... open to thoughts?
Here's another question... should I be splitting the SSD's into one dedicated to the OS and one for gaming? This was a thing back 10-15 years ago I think, but like I said my tech knowledge might be dinosaur age at this point.

Verify your Trident kit is installed on the motherboard's QVL. Some are present, others missing. Also, 64Gb seems unnecessary for another ten years; I currently have 64Gb and typically use 6-8Gb. Just a note.

It's completely up to personal preference.
I tend to use one drive for the operating system and apps, and others for different tasks.
Check my specifications in my profile, under Viper. I have 6 drives.
Some people like having a single large drive for everything.
In terms of performance, you'll notice almost no difference.

Great decision on the QVL. They focus only on the 16gb chips, leaving out the 32gb ones. This was a solid choice. I’ll go with the 16gb and keep two sets just in case. I understand 64gb isn’t necessary, but it’s not expensive to add RAM now and I like to upgrade early rather than later. Thanks for helping me avoid that hassle!

I will check out your build! Thanks.
I guess as I sit here, there's a kind of... pride that people here take at building not just good systems but efficient and price-worthy systems. Maybe my initial post came off a bit wrong because I didn't really understand that? I was honestly just trying not to make a technical mistake. But I'll re-think things a bit.
I want to splurge on myself. Absolutely. But I am open to being smarter too.

No worries. As mentioned before, I also chose 64Gb. It wasn’t too expensive and I don’t often buy PCs, so what’s the point.
However, to avoid more trouble for you, double-check your motherboard. Think about investing in one that supports running four sticks of RAM at full speed. Many boards cap RAM speed when using four compared to two.
If you really want 64Gb, you’ll likely face slower performance—maybe around 40 or 38 MHz—or a lower clock speed.
Another option is to get a fast 2x16 setup.
Truth is, you’ll need to put in extra effort to use up 32Gb.
I looked at the Aorus Extreme X board and even the more expensive z790 model only supports a few G.Skill and Kingston 32Gb sticks running at 6000 MHz at CL30 or 32. Most other brands/sticks are slower, around 38 or 40, and none exceed 6000 MHz.
That’s something to consider.
If 64Gb was just about paying more for the same performance with bigger capacity, it would make sense—but since it isn’t, you’ll have to settle for compromises.
I’d recommend going with 32Gb unless latency is completely irrelevant. I own a Crucial 2x32Gb 4800 MHz CL40 kit and I’m happy with that. You should too?

There is a YouTube series from @PCBuilderChannel named Boost My Build. Participants share their builds and he adjusts them using PCPartPicker based on their available budget. After watching several videos, you'll identify the right theme. The most frequent mistake is choosing a GPU that's insufficient. 4K games remain highly demanding for graphics cards, and upcoming titles will likely be even more resource-heavy. To maintain smooth 3D applications at 4K resolution consistently above 60fps, the 4090 is essential—especially within this budget. Even with the 4090, achieving stable performance above 100fps in 4K can be challenging due to frame rate limits. If you're not focused on multiplayer, the GPU requirements remain consistent whether online or offline, and 4K demands are significant. If you own a YouTube account, testing your build with @PCBuilderChannel could be beneficial.

Brrrr, the advice was just three or four years back that 16GB was sufficient for gaming. Now 32GB is suggested. With a large budget available, it makes sense to invest in a high-capacity memory kit of four 16GB sticks.
64 isn't necessary right now for gaming, but it would be useful if you need to handle multiple tasks or processor-intensive work.
