Steam usually runs major discounts in the winter and a smaller event around Black Friday. It's surprising if you think there isn't a winter sale this year—did you overlook something?
Looking back, this season has already seen two sales: a smaller one for Halloween and a larger one for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Last year, besides Halloween, there weren’t any other fall promotions. I’m not surprised if they plan to extend the discounts into winter in February or even a sale around Easter in late April.
K, then. In that case its plausible to have another bigger sale within month.
Yeah, but Steam isn't necessarily running a big winter promotion this year. They've always offered seasonal discounts too, like fall/autumn deals and a bigger winter sale that includes community choices, trading cards, flash sales, and similar things. The recent fall sale seemed more like a smaller, limited-time offer.
My financial plan is whatever I manage to justify spending on my mind. Regarding games, it's uncertain. Maybe some that remain in my collection for years without being played.
The winter sale typically occurs during the colder months of the year.
