I really don’t have a clear answer to share, and I won’t try to justify every move a store might make.
You're not a seller, so invoices aren't applicable. Intel may request them during an RMA process. You indicated you prefer not to handle support, meaning these CPUs are offered "as-is." They might look like empty boxes without resolution unless sold through platforms with buyer protection. The warranty document is available online. Some buyers accept this arrangement, but I wouldn't pay market value for unclear deals. If you're planning to sell before the 15th-gen models, you'll likely need to adjust prices significantly.
What keeps recurring in my thoughts is the EVGA truck incident a few years back with one of their deliveries, or the trains that were looted. I'd be more open-minded if it weren't from soCal... My concerns are less important since I don't intend to purchase a 13700kf from anyone, no matter the cost. What really counts is how others view the situation, particularly if they're going to sell it to someone else. The most effective tactic is to offer a discount so substantial it seems unrealistic. Regardless of the situation, you're not selling all 114 units promptly for retail value—not worth the risk, especially for an SI. A reputable SI would prefer people believing they were using stolen CPUs. In theory, acquiring those CPUs at a price far below what legitimate buyers would pay due to an error is theft.
Few people purchase CPUs in bulk, I believe. It's rare for me to buy more than one CPU at once, and I've assembled dozens of systems using only new components throughout my life.
I'm not sure how to respond to that question. Do you really think people buy things from social media platforms or local listings?
