When I project the gaming monitor to a virtual display using a capture card, my game experiences occasional FPS drops. It's not constant, but lasts about 1-2 minutes before improving again, then it falls from my usual high numbers down to around 80. This issue is worsened by the 144hz monitor, making the overall experience very unpleasant.

these devices often capture at 60fps despite the output device operating at a faster frame rate. it's recommended to adjust the frame rate during recording for a more consistent performance.
