You're dealing with performance issues while playing Planetside 2 on a 64-bit system. It sounds like your setup might be causing instability. Consider switching to a 32-bit client, as it can sometimes resolve such problems. If you need guidance on the process, let me know. Also, try adjusting settings or checking for updates to see if that helps. Thanks for reaching out!

Returning to the 32-bit client is essentially just flipping what was done previously by changing the executable names. Even with a 64-bit CPU or OS, running a 32-bit version shouldn’t cause major issues. The main concern is likely bugs in the 64-bit client, and reverting to 32-bit should resolve them.

The 64-bit version is still in beta, which means you might encounter some odd issues. (Missing textures have been a problem for a while.) Consider reverting to 32-bit.

It could create issues if your client uses more than 3 GB of RAM. I usually run it with high settings, shadows off at low, but after a while the 8 GB RAM leaves only a few megabytes free and performance drops noticeably. Not sure what to do to fix it.

Thanks! I'll go back to the 32-bit version and let you know the outcome. Regarding memory, I believe this game consumes around 3 gigabytes after just about 30 minutes, and it remains consistent for sessions lasting up to 4 hours (I have 8 GB DDR3 available).

Yes, you can revert by removing the x64 version and restoring the original 32-bit file. Renaming it to "Planetside2.exe" will also help.
