The case has arrived today, and it's quite impressive! I captured a photo of it on my desk between an Antec 902 and a Zalman case—both mid-towers, but it clearly shows the size of the Core X9. Here are some pictures before I started painting: top view with cover off and the rad/fan mounts still in place; motherboard tray; PSU area (one of two); front lower and drive cages—I won’t be using these in my mod unless I need 6TB in the future. And here’s the stripped frame—when they said it was modular, they weren’t joking!

Nice! However, keep in mind that after you begin using the cube style cases, it would be best not to revert to towers...there will be significantly more space for work.

Haha yes indeed, I always wanted to orientate the motherboard differently, but didn't fancy hacking a case up that severely!
I have started painting the internal parts of the case and the front mesh, I really under estimated how much paint I would need to do this, however heres some progress:
Front fully painted
😀
PSU Blank/Grill
selection of other parts:

It's been quite late, only three external panels left to apply. Rock:

I appreciate the choice of white for your X9. The red and white theme sounds great!

the psu wiring is red braided. i'll keep that in mind while assembling. I'm planning two water cooling loops using white edition radiators, a white coolant loop, and a red coolant loop.

Haha, don't worry, I'll come up with something for cable management right now. Just like plumbers tubing, I'll do some more research before deciding.
