So it turned out I really liked customizing my Antec 902, but unfortunately the arrangement of my living room and the fact that the window faces the right side of the case made it hard for anyone to see the modifications without bending over the sofa or desk.

Upgrading the Thermaltake Core X9
Now Purchased

I’m about to remove the main parts from my current setup:

- Intel i7 4790K
- Asus Maximus VII Ranger
- EVGA 970GTX SC ACX 2.0
- SoundBlaster Z
- Gskill Ripjaw X 4 x 4GB
- Samsung XP941 256GB PCIE SSD
- Corsair 620w
- Asus ROG Front Panel
- EK-DDC 3.2 PWM X-RES 140
- Alphacool UT60 240mm radiator

At the moment, everything is still in the planning stage. Right now I’m thinking about:

- Watercooling colors – Pastel Red for the CPU loop and Pastel White for the GPU loop
- My planned watercooling components:

• Chipset waterblock for motherboard – EK-MOSFET ASUS M7G with Acetal+Nickel
• CPU waterblock – EK-Supremacy EVO with Nickel (CSQ)
• GPU block – Bitspower VG-NGTX970ESACX Acrylic
• 360mm radiator – Alphacool 35273 NexXxoS XT60 Radiator White Edition x2

I’m also considering the following accessories:

- Reservoir + combo – EK-DDC 3.2 PWM X-RES 140, matching pump I already own
- Water cooling pump – same as above
- Monsoon White fittings – ModMyToys 19/13mm compression fitting (six-pack, white + red carbon)
- Fans – 3 white LEDs for the white loop and 2 red LEDs for the red loop
- White LEDs – Enermax T.B.Vegas 120mm single fan
- Monsoon white caps – 5 pieces
- Tubing – Primochill Advanced

I’m open to suggestions on fans and want to get advice: three white LED lights for the white loop and two red ones for the red loop.

Other items I’ve added:

- Mayhems Pastel Red coolant
- Mayhems Ice White coolant
- BitFenix Recon fan controller (white)

This project is still in the early stages, but I’m excited to move forward with these ideas after brainstorming during a game session.

i've been working on this a bit more after having an idea while playing Wildstar. I'm considering a small section with some 3g fake grass, placing a tiny anime figurine inside the case, using the 2x reservoirs as a backdrop. The style should resemble something from Kotaku's article about the Tekken figure in a pink-haired dream.

I don't really like coolants, though that's just my view. Dyes or food coloring might work too.
Parts selection is good. I appreciate the appearance of those TT cases.

uncertain about whether to use all white fans or keep the red/white pattern. Also, looking for suggestions on LED fans that provide strong static pressure for radiators.

The case is being held up until at least the 10th of February. It was ordered three days back, and we were looking forward to capturing some photos and beginning the work this weekend...

Looking forward to checking this out. I’m hoping they’ll get it sooner than expected.

I'm updating the fan controller now. I've chosen a white finish, similar to this link:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduc...ubcat=1429
I also noticed the 8 pin power connector in my earlier setup (though not obvious, it should be present in X9).
Another option is this one:

I’ve finally settled on a few decisions, even though the Thermaltake case isn’t here yet (just a delay from the supplier). I’ve managed to begin working on it.
For the Asus Ranger Motherboard, I’m choosing the RoG Front Base. Since the case will be painted white, I wanted the front base to match as closely as possible:
The first step was removing the knob—it wasn’t easy, but it came off eventually, letting me fully access the internal components of the case and cover.
After stripping it out, I selected the brightest white available, suitable for both plastic and metal surfaces. Once the screen was covered, I moved on to the primer.
I’ve just applied the top coat and plan to let it dry overnight. I’ll inspect for any issues and try to remove the tape tomorrow evening, aiming to confirm availability at Scan by then.

Seems like I'll be refinishing this tomorrow, but turns out Honda Polor white isn't quite the perfect white.
