A few days back I installed PC (project cars) and it was smooth at 60fps on ultra. Now when I turn it on, it drops to around 20fps—it could be a glitch or something.

Which motion blur speed are you using? I also support a 970 setting, and I can handle everything at full performance in 1440p at 144hz.

It runs at ultra 1080p using 2xAA instead of 2xMSAA, delivering around 100-130fps most of the time, especially at 120fps. Works well with a GTX 970.
