It operates slowly and consumes minimal GPU power. The main change is that it now resembles a poop appearance.

Couldn't verify, I was just running through exercises alone and it felt very choppy.

I think I might have misunderstood the details... or many people shared similar doubts. I'll look into it further. Thanks for the extra information. Could this indicate another problem in your system? Possibly a software conflict or an incorrect driver installation. Even if the driver was installed properly, consider using DDU as mentioned in the post. The DisplayDriverUninstaller is designed to fully remove AMD-related traces and remnants. Try reinstalling 15.5 and see if it resolves the issue. It's possible the removal of 15.4 to 15.5 wasn't smooth (but no logs or messages were provided).

I was not suggesting you get a new card. I was simply saying what I did. The R9 290 is not outdated like my 7950. It still plays most games at ultra settings. Try reinstalling your drivers. There is an AMD utility to wipe all the drivers. It helps to reset your computer from time to time to clear out a system. A hard reset may be more appropriate.

Your current settings are saved. Consider lowering the Environment Map and Track Details to a minimum. If needed further, disable Grass.

The developers made a major mistake. Still, consider moving to Windows 10.

I've already attempted everything... oddly enough, Nordschleife works smoothly at over 50 fps even on ultra settings, while Azure or LeMans aren't playable at all.

Monaco can be tough to navigate, but I’m fine with LeMans—45fps at the start and over 60fps throughout. The weather was perfect.
