I understand the situation, probably mg2 has to handle it right now

You weren't locked out for a month due to repeatedly changing passwords, and the reset link email ends up in your spam folder.

Christ, I don’t even play CS much anymore. I used to enjoy Faceit a bit, but it’s full of pretty low-skilled players, so I won’t improve. Now MM is packed with hackers and smurfs, making it really not fun at all. I’m not good enough to play ESEA either.

Consider your Android emulator issues and the trouble with removing Steam's two-factor login. Now it's on your phone, which means you won't lose everything if the emulator fails, though it might be harder to manage.

The Android emulator for two-factor authentication doesn’t undermine its goal. The idea is to require both devices, making it harder to breach the account even if one is compromised.

It's disappointing, but I'm relieved I began playing CS at the right time since a newcomer would face such a steep learning curve

Get ready to rethink your ranking. You're currently unranked in MM, unranked in ESEA, and at level 7 on FaceIt. After playing CSGO seriously, you've lost around 25 consecutive matches.

I ended up in MGE, faced some rough behavior from friends, moved to mg1, scraped through mg2, and it feels like the time and effort are wasted due to hackers. I'm around level 3 on FaceIt and don't play much anymore. I've also never tried ESEA.

I once traded quite a bit (from a time when I owned a 10 quid FN AWP lightning to a phase 4 Kara doppler worth around 350 quid or more at that point)
