knowing how to verify your OC stability after applying an OC is a common question. You can use Asus RealBench for stability checks, Prime95 V26.6 Small FFTs for thermal analysis, AMD OverDrive for AMD temperature monitoring, and Core Temp for Intel temperatures.

first thing i check is cpu temperature, either via bios though that will differ slightly from in windows or if it's intel i use core temp in windows

The straightforward method is memtest86+
It launches from a usb drive and tests the memory.

To check if your oc is stable after applying an OC, observe how it responds to the change.

A new CPU works or it doesn't. The simplest method is using memtest86+. It boots from a USB drive and checks the RAM. How to run Memtest86+ for CPU fault testing?

I don't understand what you're referring to by recursive fault. Memtest operates with its own program (no windows, Linux, etc.) that writes and reads various data patterns across the RAM. This process requires the CPU to be active, which is beneficial if Memtest runs. When overclocking, I prefer stress testing with OCK. It employs more typical instructions compared to Prime95.
