My 3d projects often don’t require a lot of effort since most time was spent on hard surface modeling. I recognize that rendering can be very taxing and sometimes crashes my PC, so I now use cloud render farms to complete tasks more quickly. Additionally, my boot drive is about 30% full.
Not only about rendering, I also tried resizing a 500-face ring model and it caused the whole computer to crash. That warning appears clearly then. Have you looked at the temperatures? After several years, the thermal paste has dried up and adds more heat. If you never refreshed the paste on your CPU or GPU, it’s probably old enough to be creating issues now.
