I purchased a refurbished Dell Optiplex 9010 with a Core i7-3770 and a 500GB HDD for $300. When attempting to install a new operating system, it refused. I contacted Dell, who explained that this model includes an embedded activation key on the motherboard and require that product key to re-activate Windows. I located the original OS from Microsoft’s website but now see a notice stating the activation key is invalid. What options do I have?
