I was quite fortunate—I managed to get my motherboard at a low price on eBay, though it’s disappointing that it requires a power adapter for the 24-pin connector. I’m unsure if a more attractive motherboard would still keep the cost down, since opting for a Ryzen processor and an extremely cheap AMD board might have been necessary if I wanted to spend less.
