The choice between 3600Mhz and 3.6GHz often comes down to marketing, but once DDR5 releases, we might shift to GHz since it runs significantly faster than DDR4.

It's probably safe to say that for clarity, especially with odd frequencies like 2666MHz, it reads better than "2.66GHz".

It's quite straightforward, but the RAM runs at varying speeds. 2666mhz feels like roughly 2.666ghz :p. The CPU values are rounded, making GHz a more convenient unit.

It was exciting when the CPU reached 1 GHz, and people began discussing them at that speed. Memory never got compared in the same way, so we continued using MHz.
