I owned an i7 10700k for under two years. I never touched the case or any parts since I upgraded everything two years ago. It performed consistently well, maintaining stable temperatures between 45-65 during gaming, rarely exceeding 65. The cooling solution was the MSI MAG CORELIQUID 360R. Recently, I faced numerous PC freezes. Checking temperatures revealed they exceeded 95 when launching AAA titles like Uncharted, Hogwarts Legacy, and RDR2, continuing to rise until the system froze. My desktop temps sit between 30-40, still higher than my initial setup. I replaced the CPU cooler with a new one after hearing about pump issues. Now I’m installing a DeepCool LT720, which is advertised as an excellent AIO. All connections are secure, thermal paste applied, airflow optimized, and fan settings fine. Despite these adjustments, I’m experiencing similar overheating issues, with fans increasing speed but temperatures climbing rapidly. It’s unclear if this relates to the pump problem, though my motherboard (Gigabyte Z490 VISION G) is still in use. Someone could help me resolve this before it becomes critical.

Yes, adjusting the pump speed in the BIOS can result in noticeable changes.

I haven't experimented with it yet, but I've observed that adjusting the CPU to base clock—by modifying power settings from full to 99%—significantly changes temperatures. They shift from 85-95 during gaming to around 50-60, which is a substantial variation. While others say it mainly impacts performance, I haven't noticed much difference myself.

The 1% variation prevents Intel Turbo Boost, lowering the peak CPU frequency from 5.10 GHz to 3.80 GHz. https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...0-ghz.html This issue may stem from a faulty AIO, incorrect installation, or improper voltage settings on the Gigabyte Z490 board. Too much voltage generates unnecessary heat.
