A CPU overheats when working hard, it raises its temperature for specific causes. When my 3950x and now 3950x begin reaching 80°C while using less than 8-9% load and just browsing the internet or reading a word, then yes, it spikes without cause. But if you have a reason behind that (idle time with full CPU usage), I'm interested in learning about it. I had a 3900X before these chips and never experienced anything like this—temperatures only increased when the CPU was under stress, not during light basic tasks that a low-power processor could handle easily (where my chip would jump from 700°C to 800°C quickly before cooling back down).

Located the solution for my issue (could assist others familiar with it). Just adjusted the "power savings" cursor to "best" in the middle setting of Windows 10 preferences.
