The ASRock board doesn't work well with G.Skill RAM, so I had to lower the speed to 3000MHz.

What board are you referring to? Also, I think the design looks okay. It might be a voltage issue or some bad ICs.

Samsung is retiring, ASRock B450M Pro4 runs with Ryzen 5 3600... On the compatible list, all G.SKILL modules hovered between 3060MHz and 2933MHz, with the 3060 being a 3600 model. I was counting on 3060 working, but unfortunately not. The 3000MHz is the only option for my 3200 kit on this board! Other manufacturers seem to handle 3200+ without issues... OwO

Samsung is retiring, ASRock B450M Pro4 runs with Ryzen 5 3600... On the compatible list, all G.SKILL modules hovered between 3060MHz and 2933MHz, with the 3060 being a 3600 model. The G.Skill Sniper X 3200MHz CL16 kit is typically made by Samsung SO, so it's likely the B-die.

It's not about the maximum it can support, just that anything above 2666MHz is seen as an overclock by Intel. It doesn't always mean it will work at that speed, though I haven't heard of anyone struggling with such high IMC on Comet Lake to hit 3600MHz. Instead of RGB taxes, a faster 3600 CL16 memory kit would be better. Have you bought the Z490 Aorus Elite AC yet? If not, I'd recommend checking out the Z490 Gaming Edge WIFI. A 3200 CL16 works with any DRAM, but if it's Samsung B-die at that speed, it's likely a binning issue.

It functions well in single channel with XMP active. Using 3600MHz and adjusting CL could change the gain dynamics. Copying a XMP profile from another stick might affect performance differently depending on the settings. At 3200MHz to 3000MHz with dual, the gain shift could vary.
