A suitable choice would be an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor paired with a reliable mid-range motherboard like the ASUS ROG Strix Z590 or MSI MEG. Both offer good performance for gaming within your budget.

You can find excellent motherboards under $600. It’s better to allocate the remaining funds to a graphics card, while opting for a CPU in the 13th generation from Intel.

Especially with a budget that large, you'd benefit a lot from waiting for intel and amds release. 13th gen and am5 should be coming out later this year

Are you thinking in terms of US dollars? Is this your first gaming PC? This might be a bit too much for just a gaming PC. You can build a solid system for half the price if you're only looking at the tower. It's not worth spending $1,000 just on the CPU and motherboard.

The price varies a lot depending on your location. In some places you might find a 12900K and a solid Z690 with DDR4 RAM for just $1,000, while in others it’s hard to get even that model.
