It seems the highest memory speed is around 3600 MHz for a full rack. Is there value in upgrading to faster speeds? You mentioned tighter timings are beneficial, but size also matters. Would purchasing a kit with a higher speed, like 4000 MHz, offer any advantages? Also, considering buying at the maximum speed with larger capacity could be worth exploring.

It's always feasible to push it further for better performance, but if it fails, the effort offers no real advantage.

The standard maximum memory rate is usually different from the real-world limit. For the Ryzen 7000 series, configurations like 2x2R and 4x1R usually cap around 6000 to 6400 MT/s based on the CPU quality, even though they shouldn’t reach those speeds. The official limits are mainly for protection by AMD—preventing the CPU from being forced to run higher speeds that it can’t handle. Running 4x2R is extremely challenging; while you might push past DDR5 3600, you won’t exceed it much. Most systems settle near 4000 MT/s, and your memory controller likely won’t support higher rates.
