4 GHz, 6 cores, 16 threads CPU versus 2.60 GHz, 8 cores, 16 threads CPU for AAA gaming. Both chips belong to the same generation and brand line.

Which processor? The IPC value in our chat isn't the sole factor—clock speeds and core count also play a role.

Varies by model; "4GHz" or "2.6GHz" doesn't matter much because of turbo. I don't know many 6-core 16-thread CPUs, so you might want to verify the details.

Clock speed isn't the only factor; IPC (integer processing capability) plays a bigger role. A fast quad-core processor can outperform a slower one with more cores simply because of its higher IPC. It's important to evaluate the specific CPU to determine which truly performs better.

Are you asking about instructions per core?

That's clear! I want to make it easier to understand.

It seems like the discussion might not be based on specific models. This could easily be a joke or a misunderstanding.

We're discussing specific processors from a particular generation, but I need more details to be precise. Could you clarify which models or series you're referring to?
