Hello, your recent changes seem to have triggered some unexpected behavior. The low CPU usage despite high load suggests possible throttling rather than overheating. Consider checking the thermal paste quality, ensuring proper ventilation, and verifying that your cooling system is functioning correctly. If issues persist, a professional diagnosis might be helpful. Let me know if you need further guidance!

ThrottleStop 9.4 https://www.techpowerup.com/download/tec...ottlestop/ @rakshasa12 Close HWiNFO during testing with ThrottleStop to avoid affecting your findings. Press the Limits button and open the Limit Reasons window. Identify any red boxes that show why throttling occurs. I’m pretty sure you’ll notice BD PROCHOT highlighted in red beneath the CORE column. This issue frequently appears on laptops but can also happen on desktops, especially with MSI desktop boards. If a red box shows up, clear the BD PROCHOT entry on the main ThrottleStop screen. Does your CPU return to its regular speed afterward? Share some ThrottleStop screenshots and I’ll help clarify what’s happening. Edit – The Task Manager Performance section displays CPU utilization, not usage percentage. The Details tab should reveal actual CPU usage at 100%. The CPU is operating hard but at a low speed, which limits its performance.

Thank you very much for your kind words, but this was the only factor preventing my i3 9100 from reaching its full performance, leading to significant lag in the system and games. Could you clarify what you mean by "add ThrottleStop to your Windows startup"? The link is no longer functional, and I’m unsure if restarting will restore the BD PROCHOT feature.

BIOS usually turns on BD PROCHOT each time you start up or resume from sleep or hibernate. Therefore, you must add ThrottleStop to your Windows boot order so it remains turned off. If you're unsure about using the Task Scheduler to include ThrottleStop in Windows, I'll share some images tomorrow when I have more time. I'm glad your system is functioning properly. On 12th generation boards, makers are securing the BD PROCHOT compartment, making it impossible to disable it later. This means future users with these problems will have to discard their computer or board.

I’ve discovered a way to integrate ThrottleStop into Windows startup via Task Scheduler. After restarting my PC several times, it consistently kept it off—what a relief. It’s disheartening to learn some believe their CPU is the issue while others have given up on fixing it. This really highlights how helpful this feature can be. Thanks again!
