Hey there, I've noticed a few issues with my system. When certain apps like Windows Driver open, my CPU stays at 100% even though I can close them manually. There are also two more apps that use my CPU a bit, and I can't close or uninstall them. I know where they're installed, but I can't delete them because I don't have a way to remove them (I haven't downloaded anything from the internet). The only thing I know is Driverpack Solution, but it doesn't seem to be the cause. I'm worried about not having to reinstall Windows, especially since I'm using an AMD Ryzen 5 1600. What should I do?
It's not a virus—it's a software tool that verifies, installs, and updates drivers. It's 100% safe, though it adds some Russian apps because of sponsorship. Overall, it seems secure based on what I understand.
You might require it because updates often happen automatically, but manually keeping your drivers current is rare outside of certain hardware. Installing malware seems likely if the updates appear suspicious or are delivered in Russian.
Windows isn't quite ready to install the newest drivers yet. During my use, I was lacking about 20 different ones.
Yes, it seems you were primarily concerned about drivers, and Driverpack Solutions confirmed that issue for you.
Sometimes tasks need to be stopped or terminated before removing them. If a process doesn’t exit, locate its PID using Task Manager’s View tab and run the tool pskill from WatchTheNet.
