Remove AVG completely—it’s not good. Windows 8 uses Windows Defender (for 8.1 Pro). Make sure you have Microsoft Security Essentials too.

Avast and Malwarebytes are consuming your system resources. Please uninstall them. Use Windows Defender instead—it’s straightforward and user-friendly. I’ve relied on it for five years, and it remains the top choice. It also uses minimal resources compared to other options.

I’m not entirely certain, but it seems the Windows Installer Module might not work without an MSI package installed. There could have been an issue, which is why I suggested a clean installation of the operating system.

I also believe Avast might be the issue. Review its configurations and eliminate any real-time or idle scanning features. These can be unnecessary for power users who already perform regular scans.
