Temperature has risen significantly, reaching around 100°C and even higher, like 103°C. This is happening while gaming with a Dark Rock Pro 4. Should I re-seat the cooler? I’ve installed it the same way as before, so I’m unsure what went wrong if anything. I’ve built several PCs over the years but haven’t encountered this problem. Is the cooler adequate for this CPU, or what should I check to identify any issues?
The cooler works best with most 240mm AIO models. Consider swapping it out and applying fresh thermal paste. My 3700X operates at a lower temperature with the original cooler.
Ensure the DRAM is sufficient for the 3700x configuration, consider reloading and applying thermal paste again.
The thermal paste isn't important; the silver 5 actually helps maintain higher temperatures. Stick to a pea-sized amount and simply reinsert the cooler, then check the temperatures again.
You applied the plastic sticker correctly on the cooler's base. With solid coverage, additional thermal paste isn't necessary.
