can i adjust the cpu frequency to 3500mhz on my intel core i 5 10300h? it's currently running at 4296mhz and getting hot, so i'm thinking about disabling turbo boost to lower temps.

It seems like you're asking about ThrottleStop functionality. Would you like me to explain what it does or check if it can handle that action?

Adjust the Speed Shift Max in the TPL window to restrict your 10300H to 3500 MHz. It functions well with Intel desktop CPUs. Inform me if you encounter issues with your mobile CPU.

The issue occurs only when the throttle stops, and it fails after reopening the throttle stop. You need to fix it permanently.

Unzip ThrottleStop into a separate folder without moving it. Launch ThrottleStop and let it generate a new ThrottleStop.INI file. Open the TPL window, verify the Speed Shift option, adjust the Max value, and click OK to save. Avoid pressing the X close button; otherwise, your changes won’t persist. Reopen the TPL window to confirm. Exit ThrottleStop and restart it to ensure the update takes effect. This setting will remain saved for future use. You’ll need to start ThrottleStop each time so it applies to the CPU. Consider using the Task Scheduler to run it automatically at startup.

Share a screenshot of the FIVR window if issues persist. The standard Windows 11 virtualization configurations may restrict access to many CPU registers.

The issue arises because I configured the speed limit correctly, but when I slow down, the throttle shuts off unexpectedly.

Keep ThrottleStop open. It works very well when kept in the system tray. Consider enabling its Stop Data option for added efficiency.
