The issue shows consistently high CPU utilization across various games, reaching up to 100% in demanding titles like RDR2. Temperatures remain elevated, indicating a potential thermal bottleneck. The GPU usage is also near maximum, suggesting the problem isn't limited to the CPU. This setup doesn’t appear to be the main cause of slowdowns.

Check if the CPU and GPU are reducing performance. Assess the extent of the elevated temperatures.

Neither of them is slowing down. The GPU temperatures stay stable (about 68°C after an hour in RDR2). The CPU reaches up to 90°C, and it might get even hotter if I continue playing.

The CPU operates at a specific voltage, but I don’t have real-time access to current system details. You mentioned checking the OCd for reference.

Likely the issue is that your cooler isn't powerful enough for the overclock. It's a 120mm model and isn't designed for overclocking. Try disabling the overclock and see if temperatures drop.

Sure, I'll try that out. But I'm still puzzled about why it's occurring now—it wasn't a problem before. I've been using this OC for about 6 to 7 months.

Coolers are better suited for stock clocks despite this. A 9700k with 4.4ghz should handle games smoothly, running about 60-90% load. Overall, they offer good balance.
