Task Manager shows you're using a lot of memory while watching videos in Opera, especially when using Opera with Opera. It lists the program with the biggest RAM consumption. To identify other resource-heavy apps, check your Task Manager or system settings, then close any unnecessary programs to free up space.

You already know this, which explains the high memory consumption... There’s nothing really using much RAM. It’s usually about six tabs open in Opera, not counting the ones you’ve pinned.

You're barely using more than half your RAM, don't worry about it.

RAM is intended for use. It likely handles disk caching or another background process. Don’t stress about it. When needed, the operating system will reclaim the memory.

Your browser is likely the problem since it's built on Chromium. It consumes a lot of memory. Close unnecessary tabs. You can explore other options by searching online—try "Opera high memory usage" in Google. Check the links you find; note that typing on your phone makes it hard to copy URLs accurately.

Opera consumes just 1.3gb in the task manager, which is within my 2gb limit. I’m confused about why it shows Opera version 23 even though I don’t have that many tabs open.

1.5 gb seems acceptable. I have many tabs open and watching a video. Close all but one and you’ll see what other processes are needed. However, is your system running smoothly? Everything functioning correctly? No issues? No lag? RAM is available for use. The more RAM you have, the more it gets utilized. Just like using the same system but with 8 GB of RAM, you’d notice it using around 6 GB instead of the full amount.
