Hello, I have a contract for 1000Mbit. My Fritzbox reaches 900Mbit, which is fine so far. I prefer Wi-Fi because my room is far away, so I used DLAN, especially the Develo DLan 1000. I get 90Mbit while 900Mbit comes into my Fritzbox. Do you have any suggestions or tips to improve those speeds? I also installed Develo Cockpit, but it shows 270Mbit even though I only get 90Mbit. Thanks a lot!

Powerline's effectiveness relies on your home's wiring setup. Results can vary depending on the wall sockets you use.

It seems to be a Powerline adapter likely being promoted as high-speed, but the actual Ethernet ports it uses are limited to 10/100 Mbps. Despite claims of 1000Mbps, the maximum speed is capped at 100Mbps. The manufacturer specifies using 10/100 Ethernet ports, as detailed in their datasheet.

Or bypass the rules and get a 100m CAT5e cable. Don't bother with Powerline.

Ideal speeds on a powerline adapter are achieved under perfect settings. Probably connected to the same electrical panel they’d reach those rates, but distance from that point reduces signal quality and slows performance. Does your house have heating or cooling systems? Should they be serviced before winter? If not, consider running an Ethernet cable through your home’s vent for a wired connection instead of relying on wireless or a baseboard cable.

This approach seems doubtful as it employs only 10 out of 100 ports despite the device advertising 1000Mbps speed.

It seems like the product performed well without detailed analysis, but it's clearly misleading in its advertising.

It's unsettling how often this happens. I had to review four separate documents before discovering the ethernet port bandwidth details. The rest of the files only mention RJ45 without specifying 1Gbps ethernet anywhere.

Sure, it's wise to review the information first. For a DLAN device, consider models that support multiple power sources and offer reliable connectivity options.
