I just recorded a video playing Arma 3 to upload to my YouTube channel. When I tried to render it, my CPU spiked to 100 degrees across all cores, which is way beyond what I normally experience (usually under 75-80°C). I was worried it would fail instantly, so I stopped the process. While watching games, my CPU rarely exceeds that temperature. I searched online and found someone else with a similar problem who replaced their thermal paste. My setup includes a H500M cooler in a Master case, a H150i water cooler with a 360mm radiator, 32GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, ROG Maximus XI graphics, and a 4K monitor. It looks like it should be fine as long as everything is properly seated.

Reposition your cooler and verify your pump is operating at 9900K as a hot chip, though it shouldn't be too severe.

Yes, you'll still need to reapply thermal paste after a remount. Even if the pump pressure is low during gameplay, it's important to ensure proper application.

Verify the liquid temperature at 100°C during full pump and fan speeds. Track the CPU core voltage in real time.
