I saw an entry in Task Manager named System Interrupts consuming up to 30% CPU and having two threads consistently at full capacity. This issue appears only on Windows, even though I switched to EndeavourOS without problems. My steps so far include: updating BIOS, refreshing chipset and GPU drivers, disconnecting all USB devices, disabling each device in Device Manager except CPU, motherboard, and GPU one by one, reinstalling Windows from a formatted drive—so far nothing has resolved it. I was planning to move to Linux anyway, so it’s not a major concern. However, there are some features I’d like to have in a working Windows install. Anyone have suggestions that don’t require replacing the CPU?

Specs: Ryzen R5 5600X, MSI MAG B550M, B550Mazak, RTX 3080 Gaming, Z Trio, 16GB RAM, GSkill RipjawsV 3600MHz, 750W Corsair PSU, WDBlack NVME Gen4/Gen3, Windows 11 x64 23H2.

I don't currently have any RGB or motherboard software installed on Windows.

I did that when it first came up, but once I reinstalled, the only app I got was Firefox.

You haven’t set up any antivirus protection? Have you turned off the Windows software updates? Do you own any tools for your mouse, keyboard, screen, cooling fans, or RGB lighting?
