Process slowed down after memory was released
Over the years with this build, whenever I finish a big project or program that uses most of the system memory, the machine slows down significantly. For instance, when memory drops from 23GB to just 3GB, the system pauses for a while before resuming normal operation. At first, I didn’t think much of it and just accepted it as normal, but now I’m curious about what’s really happening.
