I just saw my brother playing Fortnite and the game stopped with an error like "Can not process application" followed by a critical crash. It happened three times in a row. I used to have the same problem before, but after replacing RAM it worked for a couple weeks. Now the system freezes again and the BSOD returns. What might be going wrong? Also, no error logs are saved by Windows. Your setup includes: R5 2600 X470 ultra gaming, 16GB GSKILL RGB, 3200MHz RX 580, Adata 240GB SSD, 1TB HDD (used), 650W cooler, Master MWE Gold.
I swapped out the RAM because I experienced the same problem before. It occurs in other titles as well, though less often than in Fortnite. It might happen occasionally in different games. I’ll try the drivers again. I’ve already scanned for malware using Malwarebytes. Could it be the HDD or SSD causing this issue? Both seem to have 100% health, but I suspect the storage device is involved. I’ll reinstall Windows if nothing works.
They are capable. The actual hardware might be fine, yet a file system issue could still exist. Writing data to the disk doesn’t ensure accuracy. For resolving your problems: 1. Check RAM with Memtest86+ 2. Verify SSD and HDD functionality by using manufacturer tools and performing a full scan 3. Execute CHKDSK (focus on OS, software, and files like save games), SFC, and DISM to detect and fix file system errors if necessary.
