I'm facing some problems when trying to apply the XMP profile for my RAM. It's currently running at 2400MHz and is rated for 3000MHz. My CPU is an R5 1400 board, and I'm using a Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H-V2 motherboard. I've noticed that on BIOS (F10), it works perfectly without any issues. However, when XMP is enabled, the system sometimes boots in loops or fails to start properly. I'm concerned about potential damage if I try higher speeds after a crash. Could you help clarify which BIOS settings are best for this setup?

Adjust the soc to 1.15 and dram to 1.35, then proceed with 2666 using xmp/docp. If it works, try 2933 and then 3000.

You need to turn on profile 1 (2933) and adjust the frequency to 2666. I’m not sure about the details of SOC or its settings in your BIOS, but I’ll get back with you soon.

Check if any tests are needed between steps. 2666 appears stable without the boot loop issue.

increasing the frequency to 2800mhz triggered a bootcycle, which resolved the issue. I wasn’t sure how to set the SOC to a fixed value or how to reach it via BIOS. I haven’t run memtest yet, but I completed some prime95 tests and everything seems stable now.

When applying default settings and selecting XMP version 2993, the device operates smoothly without restarting. It might only require a brief warm-up period before full use.
