Problems with Windows updates and blue screen errors are common issues users face.
I'm experiencing problems with Windows updating on my PC. During normal use there are no performance problems, crashes, or slowdowns. When trying to update, the process fails and a blue screen appears with error code c000021a. Online advice suggests checking drivers, disconnecting extra peripherals, and retrying, but that didn't help. After the failed attempt, Windows performs maintenance and rolls back to the last stable version. It still functions after updates, though I only get a notification reminding me to update again. My reliability monitor in Windows Security and Maintenance first reported issues on August 28, 2020, coinciding with a failed update involving a Microsoft Xbox game overlay and app. I have several screenshots documenting the failed updates. The initial error message read: "Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80073D02: 9NH7N2BV1CQQ-9426MICRO-STARINTERNATION.DragonCenter." If you have any suggestions or need more details, I'll do my best to assist.
Hello, Nvidia GeForce Experience could cause issues on certain systems. MSI Dragon Center is also known to be problematic. Updating Windows shouldn't be affected by this. You might want to uninstall both programs and attempt an update again; you can reinstall them later. I believe Dragon Center is the more troublesome one of the two.
