I just set up my new system and planned to add windows via USB. However, when I entered my activation key and tried to select my SSD for installation, it refused because the disk is MBR, not GPT. Need some assistance!

Are you running Windows Media Creation Tool? If not, install it on a USB flash drive. Start your PC using the drive and adhere to the displayed steps. Choose to let the tool create a partition and format the disk accordingly. After completing these tasks, it will proceed with installing the operating system. When finished, restart the machine, removing the USB first. Voilà, you now have a fresh system ready to use.

I used the media tool after turning it off, entered my activation key, but it blocked me from choosing a drive, stating it's an MBR drive that must be converted to GPT.

Format the SSD by clearing all existing partitions and allowing Windows to rebuild them. Note that GPT support is limited to UEFI mode, while legacy mode only allows UEFI. Booting the installation media in legacy mode versus UEFI affects whether GPT can be used.

The setup interface handles everything automatically. Just remove the partition from the settings on the disk you wish to install on, and the process will take care of the rest.
