I own an i5 660 from the earlier generation. After installing Windows 11, I’m unable to locate the necessary drivers and the automatic download keeps looping in "scanning your system."

You require no drivers for the CPU. Which specific ones are you interested in? iGPU drivers?

11660 appears to be a reference link. The top result is an Intel Core i511600K processor page with 12MB cache and a clock speed of 90 GHz.

It's an i5 660, a second generation model—it's quite old, but it still functions fine.

I'm having trouble locating the i5 26xx models. I only see Xeon options. You can download CPU-z and take a screenshot here: https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Windows 11 isn't compatible with 1st generation Core i chips (your model is one of them). Intel ceased releasing drivers for this GPU starting with Windows 7. The only option is to rely on the latest Windows update available.

This matches the product page you shared. Using that version on Windows 10 seems unlikely and it isn't compatible with Windows 11. The most recent drivers were released for Windows Vista or Windows 7 in 2013.
