I've placed an order for a fresh TP-Link access point. I'll update you once it's delivered.

This concludes my troubles. The new TP-LINK Access Point is functioning! The previous D-LINK router had some problems, but I’m not sure what exactly caused it. It might have been a firmware issue. The model I received is the TL-WA901ND.
