Problems with the RTX 3080
The device I own currently lacks 5G connectivity, and I haven’t encountered any problems with it since it arrived about a year ago. Something unusual happened with my PG279QE monitor—there was an issue even when it wasn’t in use or visible. I wondered if this might be a psychological effect, but I conducted a blind test where someone connected the monitor at a random time during the day using a cord to another room. Despite facing away from it, they could detect it within two minutes by observing dim brightness and lack of clear visuals. This suggests I may be sensitive to hardware drawing significant power or specific frequencies, though I’m not sure what else could be causing it.
Do you own a hearing aid, heart monitor, or any other medical electronics? I’ll admit I’m not very convinced the human body can sense such devices. Still, who knows what’s next—there’s plenty more science to explore. You might be dealing with something unusual. At least I don’t have any other options right now. But if you’re interested, I can still send you my EVGA 2070 FTW3 ULTRA+ instead.
Haha, sadly swapping isn't an option. If I get rid of the card I'll either return it or sell it to a friend who hasn't had a chance yet. I get why you're wary about people handling electronics, but I still don't fully trust it myself. Still, it might be worth considering after my recent trials. Maybe a power supply swap could come next—someone else has said it eases coil whine headaches on occasion. Thanks for your support so far!
Sure, I tried my best but I didn’t do much. Thanks! You’re welcome. Hope you have a great time. I thought you wouldn’t mind exchanging, but fine, give it a shot. Lol
The issue still exists after adjusting the card speed, though it appears slightly improved.
Hello, I recently installed an RTX 3070 OC and have begun experiencing headaches that evolve into nausea and dizziness. These episodes can last for hours. They seem to occur during certain games, but after working and browsing without gaming, they reappear. Vsync helped in the games, and the issue persists on a 60Hz monitor.
I'm experiencing the same problem with my 3080 using an ASUS ROG Strix 438. It's more noticeable when I enable Gsync, especially during lower quality games. Adjusting the refresh rate helped, but lowering it didn't seem to solve the issue. I haven't had any eye strain and don't notice problems while just editing videos.
Any changes needed? What exactly is causing me to feel this way? Is it a burnt PCB, electrical interference, DP port issues, or something else? Please clarify!
It seems there might have been an unusual issue with my NVME drive. After removing it and booting from a backup SSD, I felt better and noticed some strange moisture on the sticker. It could be related to overheating or high-frequency stress, possibly affecting performance. Some think it might have triggered a temporary mental effect while gaming. I’m not sure but it sounds like something unusual happened. Hope this helps!
