I'm having trouble making the monitor show in fullscreen ultrawide. I've used all the cables they provided—DisplayPort, HDMI adapter, and another HDMI cable. Still, I can only use half the screen in Multi View at 2560x1440 with 60Hz. Trying fullscreen or increasing the refresh rate to 120Hz causes errors. Drivers seem up to date, and the GPU is an RTX 4090. I've also checked the Samsung support chat without success. Could you share any more details? Thanks.

Hello. I noticed you're trying to adjust it via the NVIDIA control panel. Have you updated the settings in Windows as well? Right-click on the desktop, select Display settings, scroll down to Advanced, and adjust the frequency there. This often resolves issues if you only change one location. For your Odyssey G7 (32-inch, 240Hz), I remember it needed that adjustment. After a Windows update, the display would only show half of the screen in the middle when using HDR mode. That problem was fixed later with a monitor firmware update. You can also configure it on the monitor itself, and if you need G-Sync, ensure it's set up there first.

Your Windows and NVDIA configurations match, but the issue persists on the monitor with the same error when trying to switch to fullscreen. There doesn’t appear to be a gsync, freesync or adaptive setting available there, aside from the "game mode."

On the screen beside Game, adaptive sync should be enabled. The settings may vary depending on the device. There’s a button near the center that you need to press and then release. After that, menus appear under Game Mine, displaying 59 or 60Hz with no other choices visible in the dropdown.

I completely understand, though the frequency is just 60Hz. It should be possible to adjust it on those two screens.

I can't start my monitor in fullscreen, so I'm limited to the 2560x1440p@60hz display. The only way to view my PC is via Multiview, which is restricted to that resolution. Any higher settings trigger the error you saw in the first image.

Absolutely, the issue seems to be with the displayport version. It should be 32-bit, but it appears to be an older model. Using your monitor's DisplayPort port is a better option since it supports higher resolutions than HDMI. Confirm if you have a DP cable version 1.4; if not, consider getting a new one to ensure compatibility.

Have you attempted to start in safe mode with networking? Downloaded the Driver Uninstaller for DDU, removed your NVIDIA driver, installed the newest NVIDIA driver, and unplugged your network cable before proceeding? To prevent automatic installation of outdated Windows updates.
