my initial intel cpu failed, everything seemed fine until i needed warranty service. after replacement, i tried a stock cooler to check performance. it functioned properly, but temperatures remained extremely high and the system crashed within minutes. on amazon i purchased a master 212 cooler, installed it, and still faced the same problems. i’m curious if the motherboard might have been the root cause.

Was die Wärmeleitpaste auf den CPU aufgetragen, bevor der Luftkühler installiert wurde? Haben Sie die CPU auf Verformungen überprüft?

I also tried applying thermal paste, but the Intel CPU doesn’t have any pins at all.

But the socket has pins. So you should check those. At this point, you should test your CPU in another motherboard to make sure it is not dead. Even if you RMA a CPU, you may get a defective one as replacement if you are unlucky. And when you say ridiculously high temps, do you have numbers ? 10th-gen are known to run hot. Max operating temps is listed as 100C for example.

Begin with a fresh CMOS reset to apply standard defaults. It’s possible an auto-overclock is active, which could raise voltage levels significantly.

inspected the socket, everything seemed normal. On the stock cooler it was operating between 70-94°C, but only on the homepage. Reviewed Task Manager—fans were running very high yet no resource usage was detected. It might be time to replace the motherboard and CPU, possibly switching to a Ryzen processor.
