Hi, I'm experiencing problems with the Bluetooth dongle not working properly on my HP-G62-340US laptop running Windows LTSB 2015. The Broadcom Wi-Fi card doesn't support Bluetooth, so I used the insignia Bluetooth 5.0 adapter NS-PA3BT5A2B22. The laptop started from Windows 7 Home Edition but was upgraded to Windows LTSB 2015 because of CPU performance issues. After connecting the BT dongle, the system shows it recognizes the device, but in the Bluetooth settings, pairing attempts keep failing and no devices are detected. My PC successfully connects with smart TVs, printers, and Xbox. What's happening?

Do your other gadgets link via Bluetooth, WiFi, or Ethernet? If so, it seems the Insignia adapter might not function with that Windows version. Consider reaching out to Insignia's support team.

All my peripherals rely on a USB dongle because my keyboard and touchpad aren't very dependable. It seems the dongle functions well on my main PC with Windows 11 Home, so perhaps reaching out to Insignia's support would be a good idea, though I'm unsure if they'll provide a solution.

It might be that LTSC 2015 is quite old. I've found a Bluetooth adapter that doesn't fully install the driver on my older mini PC, which runs Windows 8.0, and I'm having trouble getting it to work with Windows 10 x64.

God forbid if it is, because then I'll have to upgrade the CPU. On Windows 10 21H2, it kept the CPU usage at 100% continuously. It's strange that the product manual claims support for Windows 8.1.

Laptop model, CPU, or specifications were mentioned earlier.
It seems outdated and slow. Upgrading a laptop CPU can be challenging.
You'll need an SSD to support any version of Windows 10.
The Bluetooth issue is usually related to drivers.
Consider using Linux if you don't require specific Windows applications.

The CPU is built on the AMD Socket S1 Platform and includes various CPUs, ranging from single-core to quad-core models. I already have an SSD, but I used Windows on a hard drive before. I've also tried Linux, and the ATI Radeon HD 4250 IGPU lacks Vulcan support with a maximum DirectX version of 10.1. It seems like a driver update might be needed, but it's around 1:47 AM for me, and support isn't available to resolve the dongle problem.

Fair enough, considering the upgrade possibilities and the HD 4250 GPU constraint, let's clarify your needs. It seems the laptop isn't ideal for gaming or streaming. What would you prefer it be used for instead?

I'm trying to use it for gaming, YouTube, and daily tasks. That's why I selected the OS I chose. We've moved from troubleshooting why my Bluetooth dongle didn't work to figuring out how to use the device effectively for games and videos. Plus, I have a NAS setup—my Dell Poweredge R715 2U Server with 1.8TB storage, two AMD Opteron 6376 CPUs, and a GT 1030 DDR4 GPU.

Fair, the Bluetooth adapter likely contains a Realtek chip with hardware ID 6655:8771 after searching online. Check if there is a driver available for LTSB 2015.
