Problems with the expo and startup issues.
Hello everyone. I recently assembled a new PC this week, using a reused GPU and NVMe storage, and reinstalled Windows. Everything appears to be functioning well—boots smoothly and has worked without issues for a few days. After confirming stability, I decided to turn on EXPO. When I activated it and exited BIOS, the system restarted normally, but then the screen went black and it didn’t boot back to BIOS or Windows. The RAM and CPU indicators stayed red continuously, without blinking. I tested different memory configurations and power states (ON/OFF), but the problem persisted. The BIOS is up to date. Today I attempted to set EXPO to a lower frequency (5200mhz instead of the default 6000mhz). It seemed to work at first, but when I loaded the PoE2 game, I encountered a BSoD after about five minutes. This isn’t critical, but I’d prefer a 6000mhz setting if I had paid for the components. Could anyone suggest possible solutions? I suspect it might not be a hardware defect, as stock units wouldn’t behave this way. Also, the EXPO settings might be misconfigured. It's uncommon but I've encountered it. I'm not dismissing it just yet. My first step would be to confirm the memory is properly installed in the correct slots (slots 2 and 4 from the CPU side). Incorrect pressure or wrong slots can lead to problems even with DDR5 5200. Next, I'd enable EXPO using just one stick in slot 2 or 4 to check for faulty memory slots or sticks. If the issue remains unchanged, I'd begin by updating the BIOS to an older version, such as ver. 2.08, to rule out a BIOS problem. Finally, I'd manually set EXPO off and try the settings without it, as some boards might have compatibility issues with that configuration.
