My problem began with a boot loop and missing display, occurring about 90% of the time. When I tried to post, BIOS access showed my mouse failed and keyboard ESC key didn’t work. After a short pause (3–5 minutes) in BIOS, the keyboard stopped responding but the clock continued. Removing SSD drives still caused the loop, though display and post worked. The system would freeze during Windows or recovery attempts. The Esc key functioned again in BIOS after some time, but the mouse remained unresponsive.
I could boot into Windows successfully only about once every 15 tries. Inside Windows there were no stability issues, though my K95 kept disconnecting/reconnecting and sometimes freezing input signals. The Scimitar mouse doesn’t move the cursor, yet LMB, RMB, lights, and side buttons worked fine. When connected to another PC it operated normally and moved the cursor.
I ran Windows memory tests without finding problems. Attempts to enter other environments using Medicat failed, and an Archlinux boot USB kept reporting AMD GPU errors ([CRTC:85:crtc-0] flip_done timed out / commit wait timed out]).
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’m worried about rebooting my PC.
Turning off the XMP profile doesn't affect performance noticeably.
