I've been attempting to get my Realtek drivers functioning, but something has changed recently. I've exhausted numerous solutions and don't have any more ideas. It could be connected to the BIOS, though it appears to display correctly on another monitor when unplugged. I've updated all drivers, reinstalled them, restarted repeatedly, adjusted HD Audio settings in BIOS, tested three different drivers from Asus and Realtek, forced uninstallation to clear issues, restarted multiple times, and even reformatted the C: drive before reinstalling Windows. It functioned for roughly ten minutes after a complete fresh install of the operating system. Your PC specifications are noted if you'd like.

Update the GPU firmware immediately. Fix the display ID issue on Google RTX. The Realtek audio driver is kept current with the iobit driver booster.

Check if your motherboard's BIOS is current and see if you can get Realtek drivers from the manufacturer's site.

Similar to a thought being your monitor from a range with built-in speakers on some models, the sound hardware often remains on speakerless setups. Windows may then take over as the default sound source, especially during GPU driver updates.

This is a great question... check and make sure the output device isn't switching when it shouldn't. Here's an example... you probably want the sound output set to the one underlined in orange. Also, I don't see you mention what device you're connecting? Is this on the front panel? Back panel? Is it headphones or speakers? Regardless, definitely check and see if the issue occurs on the front or back panel.
