I am facing a hard freeze problem and am really confused about it.
I have updated the motherboard, RAM, PSU, and GPU.
While playing demanding games, it randomly freezes without any audio or needing to press the power button to restart.
All my troubleshooting steps have failed: I ran the Windows memory diagnostic, checked all drives with chckdsk, tried different RAM slots, disabled XMP profiles, performed stress tests, and updated BIOS.
I also looked at forums and found another user discussing a similar issue on Toms, but no solution was provided.
I’m worried it might be the motherboard and I’m really stuck.
I’ll double-check my cables in about an hour to make sure everything is connected properly.
I’ve been using new parts for some time now; my previous posts suggest this could be due to an aging GPU, so I replaced mine with a newer model.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Throughout this process, have you performed a clean install of Windows and then updated the latest drivers from the manufacturer's site for motherboard chipset, audio, network adapters, graphics card, and other components?

Thank you, I don't have much knowledge about this, so I'm not sure what to try or start with.

Well, I suggest starting with bench testing as described in my motherboard guide linked. If that doesn’t yield results, then back up any crucial data, files, or documents on the Windows drive—especially if they aren’t already safely stored elsewhere—and proceed with a fresh Windows installation.

If there are any actions listed here that you haven’t completed yet, it would be wise to do so just to confirm you’ve already done them and remove any doubt.

Thank you for your message. I’ll respond once I complete the motherboard hard reset and GPU driver reset. After that, I’ll check for any changes before proceeding with a fresh Windows installation.

I have completed all the motherboard CMOS refresh and installed the latest BIOS. I removed the AMD and NVIDIA drivers using safe boot. Then I performed a fresh driver installation for the GPU (took photos for reference). Next, I plan to test PC gaming to check for crashes. If any occur, I’ll attempt a clean Windows 11 install. Thanks for your assistance so far.

PC stopped working while playing R.E.P.O with a friend. I have a screenshot of the freeze and the temperatures from the HWMonitor I was watching. The CPU was at 69.0°C, GPU at 47.0°C when the issue happened. I started moving files to another SSD to do a clean Windows 11 install, and I’ll update again after finishing. I’m not sure what to do next if it doesn’t work.
