Hello, technical experts. I’m reaching out for your guidance on a puzzling problem that seems stubborn to resolve through online searches. My setup includes an ASUS Z190 Pro gaming PC with an i5-6600K processor, a Corsair H60 2133MHz cooler, and an RTX 2060. The system runs smoothly until I swapped my two 4GB RAM modules for two 8GB DDR4 sticks. They matched the MOBO specs, but when installing them, the PC refuses to boot—first flashing red, then the DRAM stays stuck. Booting works with a single 8GB stick in DIMM B1 or B2. I’ve checked everything: proper insertion, different RAM combinations, XMP enabled, slight overvoltage, even aligned pins, and even swapped the new RAM. The issue continues. Could the MOBO be the culprit? Why does it support two 4GB sticks yet only accept one 8GB stick? Please clarify.

Corsair LPX serves as a budget-friendly RAM option, especially when paired with SK Hynix low-cost chips. The top choice is swapping in memory and doing some research to find a configuration that fits your setup. It’s also okay if it isn’t listed on the outdated QVL site.
