Core i9-9900x 128GB DDR4-3200 Asus Rampage VI Omega Samsung 970 Pro 1TB 2x Samsung 860 Evo 2TB 10TB WD RED paired with Intel 32GB Optane 2x Asus Strix 2080 TIs I currently have the OS installed on the 970 Pro, placed in the second M.2 slot beneath the PCIe connectors, with the next one occupied by the Intel Optane drive. When I try to activate the DIMM.2 riser in BIOS (which stays off by default), the system no longer recognizes it as a bootable drive and it disappears from the BIOS. Even with the DIMM.2 slot turned on, the two cards remain unrecognized. From my research, the M.2 slot connected to the boot drive shares bandwidth with the DIMM.2, but only one works on a 28-lane CPU—though I have 44 lanes available. I’ve re-seated the card and the drives, but no improvement. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you considered refreshing the BIOS or rearranging the M.2 slots? Otherwise, it could be a manufacturing issue with the board.

Hello Drallen, Maybe you're running low on CPU lanes? Consider taking out one of your video cards and see if the system boots normally. When I assembled my setup on the Omega, I had to double-check the calculations to confirm there were no missing lanes. It wasn't a fix, but it helps clarify what might be the problem.

I thought about it, but the i9-9900x offers 44 lanes which means there should be plenty available. I’ll still give it a shot. Thanks!

We've received our Omega and it's not supporting RAID 1 mirroring. Dimm.2 is enabled by default if you're running the SSD separately. It only activates when you need VROC. Just leave it off and proceed, which allowed me to display 4x970s on all M2_1, M2_2, Dimm_1, and Dimm_2. We initially planned RAID 10 for the M.2 devices but it wasn't recognized in BIOS. Follow these steps: Select Boot -> CSM Change Launch CSM to Disable Go to Secure Boot Set OS type to Other OS Under Key Management, Clear Key Boot key Press F10 to save

This aligns well with the warning alerts shown each time I attempted to enable it. The issue seems tied to the drives on DIMM.2 using SATA rather than PCIe. It might be worth checking that configuration.

All four SSDs use PCIe NVMe interfaces. This could be the problem.
