my geforce rtx 3090 works well in most games at 4k with high settings, but in destiny 2 it drops to around 28-34 fps. I’m not sure why this game is affecting it differently. I’ve updated all the card drivers and confirmed my system specs: i9 12900k, 32gb ddr5 ram, rtx 3090 power supply, 1200w. Other users with similar rigs are seeing over 80 fps at 4k max in other titles.

Is it only for that single game? Have you attempted to reinstall it?

Your machine is quite outdated; we've been using the 13900K and 4090 for some time now.

It seems the performance is quite poor. You mentioned testing at ultra textures with medium/low settings in 4K60 and expected smooth playback. Have you verified there isn’t any render scaling or similar issue active? Also, did you remember to enable the feature for screenshots before it stopped working?

considering the switch to maximum settings, I’m pretty sure it mentioned 200%. I’ll verify that at home and make the update if needed. Thanks!

Also consider the overall visual quality versus frame rate. Some settings might boost performance at the cost of image clarity, while others prioritize smooth gameplay even if it means lower resolution or less detail. It really depends on what feels best for your experience.

It doesn't support RT, and it won't unless they completely overhaul the engine—it's a DX11 title, so RT needs DX12 to work.

They achieved ray tracing in older Quake titles, which suggests it should be feasible in modern engines like DX11. The challenge likely lies more in implementation compared to the smoother support seen in newer versions.

Oh, I missed the Vulkan details as well. Quake RT runs on the Vulkan version of Quake.
