Hi, I’m facing a big issue with GTA V. When I enable high-resolution shadows, the game slows down to around 13-9 frames per second. It worked fine on GTA 970. What should I try to fix this?

Yes, there are various rendering options available, including advanced settings that some GPUs like Nvidia support. Adjusting these can improve shadow quality and performance.

I’ll try to adjust the shadows for a softer look since I’m not at home. I’ve switched the game to use NVIDIA PPCS, but it feels unusual because I can still set it to 1440p and 4xms with a frame rate dropping from 40fps to 28fps.

I don't have access to your current GPU information. Could you check your system settings or let me know the model you're using?

Your GTX 970 had the same issue right from the start.
